Summer School (June 6-10, 2011) Registration is closed as the enrollment limit has been reached.

On-line registration for SCMA V conference and pre-confeence tutorials is closed. Late registrants, please send your name, affiliation, email, and tutorial (if applicable) to Eric Feigelson (edf@astro.psu.edu). You can then pay the late registration fees the morning of the first day of the tutorials or conference.

Late Registration Fees:

  • $ 170 for a pre-conference tutorial (June 11-12, 2011).
  • $ 340 for Statistical Challenges in Modern Astronomy V (June 13-17, 2011).

Refunds and Cancellations:
Refunds will be issued for cancellation by the registrant if we receive your notification in writing by May 6, 2011. A $ 50 administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations. Refund requests made after that time will not be honored. Anyone who is registered but cannot attend may send a substitute.

The University may cancel or postpone any course or activity because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a program is canceled or postponed, the University will refund the full registration fees but cannot be held responsible for any other related costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.

Letter of invitation:
Individuals requiring an official letter of invitation in order to attend the summer school and/or the conference may write to Eric Feigelson at edf@astro.psu.edu. This may be needed to obtain a visa or permission to attend the meeting, and is unrelated to any assistance. Please include your name, professional title, business address, phone number, and e-mail address. The letter will be provided as a read-only e-mail attachment. Note: a letter of invitation is provided only after the individual has completed registration.
